When to use WordPress and when to use Zen Cart
A) WordPress is far one of the best CMS on the marked from many points of view including SEO.
The single “problem” WordPress has is that Oppress is just missing e-commerce into core and it may not ever happen.
WordPress is the best option for any website that does not require strict monitored ecommerce transactions. It can be used for ecommerce but in this cade an ecommerce plugin must be bought, all free ecommerce plugins are okay but not recommended for commercial environment.
B) Zen Cart is the best option for commercial ecommerce websites. There are problems related with the SEO.
1. Zen cart based websites have main issues that stop them to get high visibility in search engines.
- SEO packs are not included into core. Problems stay in the fact that pages displayed are generated using different patterns.
2.There are add-ons to be installed but there is still not on the market at least really good, able to process correct categories, products, reviews, “define pages” and TOC pages
- There is not “auto – advertise” system (module) included into core.
3. Core coding still contains tables (even in 1.3.9x versions)
