A couple of months ago I wrote about how dangeours for you as internet user can be to provide google, yahoo, facebook connection details to third part website. In less tha one year so many things has changed on the Internet and in my mind so I come back.
More or less I know what it is possible and what is not about the three major players on the “close advertising systems” market: FaceBook and Apple Network and YouTube (Google).
1. On Face Book:
a) Direction: Website-> Face Book
- Create a TABs and use FaceBook HTML in order to have there almosut any content from virtually all over the net.
- Setup a “fake” and invisible page for users attached to real websites and display that content into your page on FaceBook They may be knnown as “ghost pages”
b) Direction: Face Book ->Website
- create a TAB s populated with “registration pages” which capture the Face Book users input and feed your website database
- The limits are endless. Face book is just launching a new way of interaction with its system. Basically using this system you may get all details about a user and his friends at a click of mouse in a machine readable format (can go straight in your database)
c) Direction: none
- App integration into website : Users will be able to read all Wall from face book page, to see others users who likes your page and to LIKE your face book page WITHOUT leaving your website. This is just an example.
- Bring full YouTube videos under your Face Book account.
- Face book signup, it means users can create account on website or can login using their face book details. Not good idea for e-commerce websites.
2) On Apple network.
Apple has not a shop on Face Book. Apple store is integrated into Face Book at application level. At that level there is only one more integration: Mobile app (iPod, Android and Blackberry)
Apple has its own “social platorm” and iWeb is one of its components. There is a very powrfull feature: a website build on this platform and linked via CNAME with a real domain namewill update automatical your page on face book.
.mobi is not accpted – thats strange.
We want to see what is the result of having this page regarding with our presence on the NET in Google and regarding with the no of leads we receive.
We are studing now what meand to have a website on Apple Nework/Platform from poit of view of SEO (Google, Yahoo, MSN visibility) so keep close to this website.
3) On YouTube:
There is nothing new here. This is is a” Google own system”. It means keywords, title description and relevant content are major ways of making something here more visible.
