The Show Desktop icon does not exist in Windows 7.

It was replaced with Desktop which may be enabled and shown as menu on the menu bar.

To get the effect of the Show Desktop icon from previous windows version just click Windows +D (keep press the key “Windows/Start” and withot releasing it press the key “D”

Have no idea why the new version of this extremely robust Windows version does not allow user to hide all you have on your screen(s) using that icon. They may come back to this strange decission.
