Remote access via VPN – SBS 2003

Allowing Remote access to restricted users to specific XP computers (using VPN connection)

Steps
On SBS Server

- Active Directory Users and Computers
- Computers
- Select the computer you want to connect via VPN and “right click” (properties opens)
- Select “Dial-in” tab
-select “Allow access” in Remote Access Permission (Dial in VPN)

On XP workstation
- Control Panel
- Users Accounts
- select user you wish to setup (domain user, must exists on the SBS server, in AD)
- click on Properties (a new window appears – “Group info group”)
- Select “Other” and in drop down selecr “Remote Desktop user”
