In a quarter of financial year was were sold on the US market Microsoft phones valued at about $1.5. The same value was registered in one week by the Apple phone based on IOS 4S (pre-sold).

It is predicted that in a few years all phones will be smart phones so there is a huge slice of market available and all competitor wish to conquer.
There are many opinions about who will win or how much from this market will be taken by each player. There are good and very well documented articles written based on fingers. What I try to do next is to consider one more factor in this equation: the human factor and the Microsoft /Apple evolution in the last 15 years or so.

Most of us (50+) remember that Microsoft got at this point of sales on PC/laptops – OS market because 15 years ago students (school & uni) received free software and even discounted PCs. Apple was for elite, very expansive. Today most of students , teenagers and even younger are using Apple gadgets. Question: What are going all of them to use at their workplaces or their businesses in 10 years from now: Microsoft or Apple devices and gadgets ?
