You can add using:
a)  http://connect (type it on the computer you wish to add)
b) beying on server, “create” a Launch.exe (on a usb and launch it on the computer you wish to add
c) on computer you wish to add go to Start – My Computer and right click and click on Change then:
- you may use “Network ID”
- change name
Most common problems
1) For a) http://conncet gives you “Not Found”
Check what is the DNS on that computer – muts be the IP address of your Doman Controller
2) For b) Launc.exe will open browser and you get that: “This computer does not met requirements”. Make sure you have at least Windows 7 professional and if you have forget this option. Many oppinion on the net and on the microsoft site about last patch/service pack.  It may just not work in your circunmstances.
3) For c) all is fien execpt on the last step you get:  “An attempt to resolve the DNS name of a DC in the domain being joined has failed. Please verify this client is configured to reach a DNS server that can resolve DNS names in the target domain.”
It is comming from DNS:
Check what is the DNS on that computer – must be the IP address of your Doman Controller. Must be teh single one entry.
General and stupid mistake, I did many years ago:  Make sure when you write Doman Name do not write he subfix. (LOL)
for example if you have on server MYDOMAIN.LOCAL your domain you must write is MAYDOMAIN.
