Final Cut Studio  – one of the best professional video and sound editing software -  Apple sell it (the old version)  again

A few days ago I was told by apple support (Apple Shop) that the Final Cut studio was split and it is not sold anymore (discontinued). Asking how I will replace the other packages except Final Cut pro I was told all of them were included into the core of the Lion OS and will be no issue to get the same quality at a fraction of price: $400 Final Cut Pro X plus $40 for the Lion OS.

From money perspective, it sounds great, from $1400 to $450 but using “Garage Band” for sound processing is not a choice at all.

Nobody know exactly why Apple took out from the market FinalCut Studio and it appears that it was a wrong move as long as a few days ago. It can be ordered only by phone and will be delivered only to an US address.

An Apple spokesperson told that the company has “a limited quantity of Final Cut Studio available to customers who need them for ongoing projects.” Sounds as if the current situation with the side-by-side sale of Final Cut Studio and Final Cut Pro X is unlikely to be permanent.
