Many of us are trying to save more or less when it is about computer related components. And that is true you can save sometimes up to 50%.
Last experience we had with MSI – Parramatta rd., NSW
We bought a Seagate external Hard Disk (hdd). In less than one month it stops working properly when it was about transferring big files from / to it.
We bought many hdd from “China Town shops” before, cheap stuff for not critical activities like our tones of media, movies, etc. We suppose all will happen here like there, just tell the problem, they check what you tell is true or just believe you if you are their customer for a while and you get replaced it.
WRONG, MSI, even is usually selling at a low price, low quality stuff, they apply to their sold products the same policy like big and trusting companies like HT, Dick Smiths..
And the worst, they apply only that side which makes their profit bigger and the client loss the same big as well.
MSI does not replace the product after 7 days,
MSI does not let you know when you buy what the procedure is in case your product stops working during warranty,
We found all above too late.
However it happened in March 2011, today is middle of May. They took back the product (my Seagate external hdd) to be sent to their supplier, I suppose somewhere in China and I was told that they will let me know in a couple of weeks when I must go and collect my hdd or a new one.
For these kinds of shops it appears to me that a couple of weeks do not exactly means under three. I am curious how many. Until now COUPLE = 8 and still counting.
We lost $130. We did learn about MSI and this article may help you.
Thank you for reading it.
